The Crockett Community Foundation (CCF) will hold its next Board of Directors election on December 1, 2026, with four seats open to dedicated community members. This election is an important opportunity for residents of Crockett, Crolona, Valona, Tormey, and Port Costa to help guide the Foundation’s mission and strengthen the future of our community.
Serving on the CCF Board of Directors is a meaningful way to help shape the future of Crockett, Port Costa, Tormey, Valona, and Crolona. Board members play a key role in strengthening local nonprofits, supporting community projects, fostering volunteerism, stewarding both unrestricted funds and the Foundation’s permanent endowment, and ensuring that donations are used effectively to enhance the quality of life in our community—now and for generations to come. To qualify as a candidate for the Board of Directors, individuals must:
Be a U.S. citizen eligible to vote in California and registered with the Contra Costa County Registrar of Voters.
Be a resident of Crockett, Crolona, Valona, Tormey, or Port Costa, living within ZIP codes 94525 or 94569 for at least one year prior to the election date.
For the 2026 election, candidates must have lived in the qualifying area on or before December 1, 2025.
To appear on the ballot, prospective candidates must submit a Nominating Petition:
The petition must include at least 20 signatures from qualified registered voters residing in Crockett, Crolona, Valona, Tormey, or Port Costa (ZIP codes 94525 or 94569).
Candidates are strongly encouraged to gather more than 20 signatures to avoid disqualification due to invalid or illegible entries.
Electronic signatures are not accepted.
Each signer must provide their name, voting address, and the date of signing, in the presence of the petition circulator.
Only one candidate may be listed per petition.
The candidate or circulator must certify that all signatures are genuine.

Petitions must be postmarked on or before July 31, 2026.
The CCF Board will review all petitions to verify that at least 20 signatures meet eligibility requirements. Candidates will be notified no later than September 8, 2026 if their name will appear on the ballot.
